THE LABYRINTH WITH ERIC SODERHOLM
Friday Jul 13, 2018
Friday Jul 13, 2018
So... how does a guy go from "Comeback Player of The Year" with The Chicago White Sox to being a spiritual seeker and owner of one of the Midwest's premier wellness centers? Former major league slugger Eric Soderholm has walked the "Labyrinth of Life" following the nudges, callings and signs all the way from 3rd base at Yankee Stadium to his own "Garden of Eden" at Soderworld, an oasis from the erosion of life. Truly one of the most enlightening and inspirational conversations I've had in a long time, full of teachings, lessons and laughter.

THE WEDNESDAY RANT
Wednesday Jul 11, 2018
Wednesday Jul 11, 2018
Its another edition of "The Wednesday Rant" and be forewarned...this one is truly a "brain drain" of the highest order, an eclectic mix of summer memories, the loss of our "patience" gene and an actual scripted piece called "The God Factor." While I always strive to inform, entertain and inspire...this one might just be more in line with bloviate, expectorate and pontificate...but sometimes that's just the way it goes. Bonus freebie pod for subscribers, a little taste of what goes on behind the firewall of truth for the rest of the world. Hold on to your lugnuts, its time for an overhaul...

RETURN TO WALTON'S MOUNTAIN
Thursday Jul 05, 2018
Thursday Jul 05, 2018
We fire up the "Wayback Machine" thirteen years to 2005 and my conversation with late, great author and creator of "The Walton's" Earl Hamner. I came across this interview buried among hundreds of CD's that are an audio treasure trove of my two decades plus on radio. This particular time with Earl was a bit different, as we were discussing a new book-that he didn't write-but was about his life, titled "From Walton's Mountain to Tomorrow" by James E. Person that had just been published. The phone lines were open and once again I was transported to the magic of live radio, that was captured for the archives and now uncovered all these years later. The lessons of faith, family and friendship once again come into the fold of The Human Family.

I'M SPIRITUAL DAMMIT!
Friday Jun 29, 2018
Friday Jun 29, 2018
This "Freebie Friday" is a robust conversation with best-selling author, award winning journalist and respected broadcaster Jenniffer Weigel, who has the head of a reporter and the heart of a seeker, truly a formidable combination. It's is a serious dive into the deep end of the pool when it comes to the spiritual and emotional forces that create the belief systems that guide our journey in life, the challenge of holding higher ground in the world of the media and the life lessons that are often overlooked but are so very important. JOINED AT THE HEART
Friday Jun 22, 2018
Friday Jun 22, 2018
Freebie Friday is my powerful conversation with the late, great Pete Huttlinger and his wife Erin from 2015 when their book "Joined At The Heart" was released. Pete shared the stage and backed up some of music's greatest voices including John Denver & LeeAnn Rimes, and overcame incredible obstacles on his way to becoming a world class guitarist and composer. Remembering Pete on his 57th birthday.

IMMIGRANTS AND ONLY CHILDREN
Wednesday Jun 20, 2018
Wednesday Jun 20, 2018
The images of children being torn from their familes and placed in holding cages at the US/Mexico border has created a tsunami of outrage. Humans are predictible creatures, especially when squeezed and the underlying narrative of this latest repeated lesson is what this episode of "Life 2.0" is all about. If we always do what we have always done, we'll always get what we have always got. Earth Matters with Bill Kurtis is part of the broadcast and the music this week comes from the musical genius of David Stoddard http://davidstoddardmusic.com/

FREEBIE FRIDAY LATE EDITION
Friday Jun 15, 2018
Friday Jun 15, 2018
This Freebie Friday was not planned, however after going to get a haircut this morning it turned into a drive through the "Wayback Machine" as it usually does when I hit the old neighborhood. Next thing I know the microphone is warmed up and we are off to the races. If you have an "old neighborhood" I think you'll understand that sometimes we don't know how much we need it until we are in it.

THE WIZARD OF OZ.
Thursday Jun 14, 2018
Thursday Jun 14, 2018
I opened the TBT vault and after digging around a bit plucked a conversation with my pal Dr. Oz from the deep recesses of the audio landfill that aired back in 2012 on WGN Radio in Chicago. But before that we have to first get through the incessant need I have to be the FBI (Face Book Investigator) when it comes to posting fake news and why I have gotten over the "Trump Speedbump." Another episode of "Earth Matters with Bill Kurtis" is included in this episode along with music from the legendary David Stoddard http://davidstoddardmusic.com/

FREEBIE FRIDAY
Friday Jun 08, 2018
Friday Jun 08, 2018
Two celebrities take their own lives and the headlines explode. Twenty-two veterans commit suicide each day and people do push-ups on Facebook to bring attention to the problem-which hasn't changed anything. So what might be some of the obvious lessons buried in the absurd and how can we make sense of that which seems senseless? It's all about "The Human Family" with music from the late, great Pete Huttlinger. www.petehuttlinger.com

THE PATH
Wednesday Jun 06, 2018
Wednesday Jun 06, 2018
Life is a series of "connect-a-dots" that eventually forms "The Path" of our lives if we pay attention. An impromptu dinner with an old football buddy and his son is the foundation of this episode of "Life 2.0" What is the cost for not being willing to change? Is life set up in such a way that each of us has a role to play? Can we let go of who we think we are, in order to become a greater version of ourselves? All that and much, much more as the search for higher ground continues including music from Mark Cleveland and "Earth Matters with Bill Kurtis."
